Work was crazy today. Both our managers are still out sick. Another teller was out sick today. And Mondays are always a little busier. On top of that, we had someone drop off a large sum of coin to be counted. At the end of the day, I did not even balance properly. We did get out mostly on time though, and I was able to get to bed early tonight.

Something Good- Day 317
Work was a bit crazy today. Both our managers were out sick, as well as another teller. And it was busier than normal because of the holiday yesterday. Luckily, we had planned a potluck for today, so no one had to leave the branch for lunch. That made it easier to get our lunches in while being short staffed.

Yesterday we decided to decorate for Christmas. Although I am usually adamant about making sure Thanksgiving comes first, I knew it would make my sister happy. I think that given the year we have had, Thanksgiving can share with Christmas this year.
Today was our first real snow here. The roads were slippery, and most people chose not to go out if they could avoid it. The bank was fairly slow, which meant we got out right on time. We ate homemade dinner and then sat down to watch a show.

Today has been long. Work was busy. I dropped off my election ballot on the way home. Then, we moved all the stuff from the old fridge to the new fridge after dinner. We ended the night with massages to wind down from the day.

I went back to work today and actually had a pretty good day. I was able to catch up on the work I missed at the beginning of the week and finish everything that needed to be done. My mom sent a gift card for a local restaurant, so we went out to eat for dinner.

This has been a busy week at work, trying to fix problems for customers. I have been working with this couple who had a very frustrating situation with their account and were ready to leave the bank over it. Luckily, I was able to get it resolved for them. The wife was so grateful that she brought all this food to the bank as a thank you. I was just happy I could solve this for them because it is important to me that people have their needs met.

After work, we spent time with a friend and showed her a house that has amazing Halloween decorations. Here’s just a small glimpse of it.

Something Good- Day 288-289
The last two days have been much better at work. We have been able to keep up with everything for the most part. Yesterday I was able to donate plasma during my lunch break, which has not happened in quite a while. After work, my sister surprised me with a clean kitchen, so I took her to the store to get Halloween stuff.
Today we went grocery shopping and were able to get everything we need for the next week. Afterwards, we used a coupon to get ice cream. It was delicious, though I will probably regret it when I get a stomachache later. We ended the night watching cartoons and eating popcorn.
Something Good- Day 287
Today was a rough day. Tuesdays after a holiday are always extra busy at the bank because we have to make all the weekend deposits plus two days worth of regular deposits. Anyway, I finally got to lunch around 3:30, which left less than a half hour before closing time when I returned. I did have a good lunch though, and we got treats after dinner to help brighten the day.

This really does not feel like my story to tell, but my sister has been struggling with pain over the last few days. After the night in the hospital, she was told to manage the pain with medicine and wait for it to get better. Yesterday, she had a friend come over “to help out” but ended up watching movies instead. Our dishes were piling up and needed to be done soon, but she was in no condition to do them. I planned to do the dishes when I got home from work, but another friend came by to bring my sister lunch and helped with our dishes before she left. I cannot express how grateful I am for the people that care for us, check in with us, and express their love and concern. It definitely means a lot, especially when we are struggling.

I am unsure what tomorrow will bring. My manager is being tested for Covid, and with cases consistently rising in this area, it is uncertain if work will continue like normal.
On a happier note, my dad came to visit today. This is the first time he has seen my house since I bought it just over two years ago. We always bond over games, and he enjoyed perusing my game collection. We also played a game he had given me for my birthday that I had not yet been able to play.
